Been on here a lot getting direction and seeking info when I have had problems with the flattie I built and stuck in my roadster. Have built the car from scratch and it is just about done and I took my first ride up the street with it today! A hardy thank you to all who shared their knowledge willingly. Here is a link to my first ride.

  9. Obviously you suck...because mine isn't quite ready! Good goin, buddy! The engine sounds healthy with it's trademark flathead sound right down to the noisy fan. After it gets all broke in, I'd have to remove the fan and see if it'll stay cool enough to drive the way you drive. A lot of the old 40s-50s hoodlums ran flatheads with no fan but I've never tried it.

Thanks guys! I had some problems along the way but was able to overcome them and it sure was a hoot taking that first short ride. Now to debug/tune a little and make the rides longer and longer!

Yes we do have palms, although they took a hell of beating this past winter and whole bunch are dead!

I am going to get some pics together when I get it a little further along and I will post them up.

There is nothing to compare to putting something together and going for your first ride.
    The best! Good luck
