First disclaimer... If thats your truck on the avatar I stole it from Google, Needed a worthy COE. thanks
Well if we are going to have a Social Group we need like minded folks. Show us your COE with a brief description, and a quick intro.:D

Then start your build / talk about threads. That way we can get a little more in depth about what our plans are etc. Maybe start the ***le off with the year, make, and body style ie. Club cab, Car hauler, or Pick up. in looking ahead I can see how this could get kinda of confusing?

I have started a Mfg. specific thread for easy identifying and discussion of your brand of Cab Over ie- Ford, Chevy, Dodge. If you have a COE not listed please let me know and we will add a thread specifically for your COE type. If you cant get my attention go ahead and add the new heading yourself! Thanks, Bob

    Welcome!

Dont forget to invite that non H.A.M.B. COE member to our little gig here. It might be the only place for them to get the info. we have to share?

Mine is a 1947 Ford. Ramp style Hauler. Mid Engine (383 GM). front suspension is GMC 3/4 ton truck, rear end is a Dana 70 Dually. It has hauled everything from a 39 Hudson Sled, to a 65 Unibody Ford truck, to my 32 shown here. Unfortunatley it might be up for sale soon :(

Sweet truck! I wont even ask about being up for sale... Seems too nice to let go of, but thing do come up from time to time. Is the angle too steep for a ultra low full fender rods, Or are long ramps in order? Looks really cool!

I have had this Hudson on it! ramps are about 4 1/2' long and slip up under the bed. I usually try and find a driveway to back into if it's a superlow car, makes it easier.

Hi Guys, I have had a few COE's and I have 4 COE projects truck right now.
I sold my last coe to a friend up in fallbrook and it burned up 2 years ago in the fire that came through there:(
and I have a 42 dodge coe that is chopped 3 1/2" and sectioned 4" it was going to be my radical coe but now I have it back on a 1 ton ch***is and it will be a car hauler
I am also building a 35 dodge into a COE as dodge never made one so I figured I would.
I also have another 46 dodge COE that I plan to build like coe pick up.
I have plans to do one as a clubcab COE that will have a ***mins turbo diesel in it and my last one is what I cal radical, radical it will be based off a regular PU cab but the mose will be COE style and it will have a blown 440 mopar in the middle and be more pick up size.

here was my old one befor the fire:

this is my 42 coe that is on a 1 ton ch***is now and will be the car hauler:

I'm in. I have two COE's though one is likely to become a body parts donor rather than ever be put back together.

This is the 'good one, a '47 I plan to put on a 1/2-ton '72 Chevy frame similar to what Koos Diedel has done if you've seen pictures of his. [IMG]
This was a Washington farm truck that appears to have been retired when something made a hole in the oil pan.

Very nice old sub! Be sure to start a thread on it before you get to far down the road. Nothing better than watching progress on a project as worthy as these.

metaltwister, the 35 started life as a 36 dodge 1/2 ton PU.
I mounted that cab on a 1 ton late model ch***is and I had some 34 dodge big truck fenders and grill shell.
I mounted the frontend and shortened the hood to make it look like a cab over.
the reason I am calling it a 35 is dodge changed the cab on the small trucks between 34 and 35, 34 had suicide doors
and in 35 they went to regular opening doors with the 33-34 frontend . so "IF" they made a 35 coe it would probably resemble what I am doing :D:cool:
I think it will be a very unique truck when I get it done. Ron...

I also have some pics of COE's on webshots, if anyone want to see:

Here is my 47 Chevy. Came out of NY. Nice clean rust free body.
Going to be mounted on this 89 1 ton Dually Chevy ch***is. Will be powered by a 82 Corvette 350/ with a Turbo 400, mtd behind the cab, and will fab up a 8-9 ft pickup bed, with stock pickup fenders enlarged to cover the dual rear wheels. As soon as the 55 Chevy is up and running, I will start on this. Looking forward to it. :)

Well, I am Terry, got invited to join and here is my 49 Ford COE. It is my daily driver, been running for about 2 years now. Sitting on a 74 GM reg cab dually ch***is, airbagged on the front and working to do the rear. 350/T400 in the stock frame location. Chopped 4 inches.

Here it is at Bonneville Speedweek 2008 last year, before I built the flatbed this past Christmas/New Year's.

    Great group idea.:D:cool:

Hoping to do one some day when the "horse trading fairy" aligns the stars. Got a 84 dually waiting for her when the time is right.

    Anyone interested in swapping projects?

    Thanks,

    Mike

Hi everyone! Im Nick from a little place just south of Sydney Australia. Here is my 1942 Ford Coe its sitting on a 1981 c30 chev ch***is with dually rear. It got a 350/350 chev combo and will eventually ride on a set of Alcoa's with whitewall tires, airbagged suspension, and long pickup bed with widened 39 ford fenders. I was hoping to put a Ford engine in it something like a fuel injected v10 but as we never got them over here they are hard to come by and expensive to bring over. In the process now of adding power windows, steering and air conditioning to make my daily driver a little more comfortable. There are not many of these trucks over here but a strong following and connection from the ones who do.

I'm In, I live in Fremont CA and I have two COE's. A 1938 GMC COE that is a driver and I have a 1939 Chevy that is yard art in my back yard.

The GMC is on stock frame rails with an early 80's one tone Chevy van front suspension and Air Bags. Also has a one ton dually Chevy rear end, late 70's 350 Chevy V-8, turbo 400 ****** and a Gear vendor overdrive. You might have seen it at Paso a few years ago with my 1938 Dodge Coupe in the bed. Here are a few pics:

It has a 15’ flat bed that lifts up hydraulically.
    I hope you like.
    Thanks,

  29. Hey Randingo, is that a softail with 'gl*** Indian fenders? Man, I built the twin to that about 7-8 years ago---beach bars, solo seat and all, 'cept it was black

    Okay, I got sidetracked by a motorcycle:eek:

Hi guys, I'm in on this cabover deal too.
Started with a couple of rusty GMCs, a 50 and a 55. Sold the 50, and found a 47 Dodge over in Memphis. Ex-firetruck, so the roof was rough...but I liked it. THEN I found another Dodge, much better shape  Great. Then a 40 Ford pops up here on the HAMB...so I bought it too.
Been ac***ulating donors for all these cabs--got an E350 diesel Ford van for the Ford. Got a wrecked 98 GMC Savanna for the GMC. Bought a school bus ch***is for the Dodge, then a gutted GMC motorhome for the other Dodge..... Ultimately, I want to build a pickup(shop truck) AND a car hauler.

Ain't hit a lick at ANY of them  But I will.....when the time's right....lest I fall over dead

I need to get into this group for ideas. I have a back burner project that I'm collecting parts for. It's a 54 Chevy. I obtained a 78 Chevy 1T plumbers van ch***is for it. The 78 doesn't have that many miles on it. It was retired because it got rear ended real hard. They rat holed it for parts but never removed any. I'll post some pics as soon as I find them.
