I've been a fan of the site for sometime e now and follow some threads but have never posted.

Anyway matt here from St. Louis mo. I have a 53 f100 with the factory 215 and 3 on the tree. It was 100% bone stock when I got it about 2 years ago. I drove it all summer and that winter dropped it 8" in the rear and 6" in the front and changed the wheels to baby moons.

It's a work in progress for sure. I want to put a new chassis under it with a 2013/14 mustang cobra motor and I have a corvette irs I want to use.

Has anyone ever built a frame from scratch? I'm thinking about going for it. I have a guy that can cut the side rails on his CNC and then I'd weld the top and bottom. Just curious if anyone has attempted this. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1450499332.204675.jpg

That's when I first bought it. I'll post some pics of it now soon.

Nice truck, but the changes you plan won't fly on this forum. Just a heads up.

Right now Im building it like a 60's custom. Lowered wheels are painted to match the grill.

I got my hands on a ba flathead. Not sure I can it yet but I'm going to try.
