Kenny, very nice work, have given me great ideas for mounting my 30 body to my 32 frame. Quick question on the final mating of the two, with the mounting pads you fabbed up, are you placing rubber between the pads and the actual frame or some other material?

  4. very nice work. this thread came up at the right time , i'm just starting the process of putting a `30 coupe body on a `32 frame i got from Pete & Jakes. gave me some good ideas , except i am working with a body that is in lot better shape

very good pix, informative, looks like it would also work on a frame that uses staight sections with angled axle kick-up.

Cool, I have seen that welting but was wondering about that vs a rubber. I guess if it ain't broke...... Looking forward to seeing more of your progress. I have been more just fiddling right now getting to know the layout of the body/frame before really diving in.

I've also used rubber in the past for just making a little pad...you can buy it with a specific hardness to suit your need. (On eBay and from McMaster-Carr)

It's nice because you can get stuff that's tougher and more durable and can be cut with a saw...good for making trans mount or motor mount pads too.

Great idea and execution of use of pads under sub rails! This area is dreaded by most, as I see all kinds of queries related to the availability of 'repops'.
You have opened some doors here...
Anxious to see the attachment of lower body patch panels to the new sub frame. Please elaborate.

Is the frame you are using stock 32 dimensions?
