fixing a 32-34 ford stake pocket rust

    here is a little rust repair i did on a 34 ford for fields . the pocket was badly rusted and the the metal behine it was bad aswell. i cut the outer pocket off the bed. then i could see the damage in the bed side itself. i cut out the rust in the bed side and welded in the new repair . this was pretty streight forward. the pocket now could be fabed up. the best part is the other side of the bed was good so i used it to measure it up . i made the new bottom of the pocket out of one piece of metal. the center needed to be bead rolled to put the detail in it . then i folded the sides up working from the center out . here are some pics. hope this could help some of you fixen up a 32-34 ford bed.

    easy for you...I pay $55.00/hr for that repair...:rolleyes::D

    nope! but i do use a nos 32 grille insert to wipe my muddy boots on thought.:eek::D id use a pines winter front if i could find one.;)
