i know most of you guys use silver and black under lace, but does it look really shitty with metal flake under it? im buying back my old 62 cutlass and the roof is already flaked with silver flake. this is going to be my girls car and she really like the look of lace. ive already got the candy for it, but was just wondering if its too "flashy" with too much detail. thanks guys.

Or spray one coat of Candy, then a couple more over the lace,
    for a monochrome look.

It's also common to fog the edges after removing the lace.

i'm actually using some base that wa made by mistake. its late 90's mustang blue metallic but with red metallic instead of the blue. im adding it to clear. ive sprrayed candys before. im just not sure on the flake and lace together. i was planning on using a black as kind of a fog coat for the lace and then spraying all the candy over it. any suggestions or pics with both flake and lace together. this is pretty big flake sprayed over a silver base.

Flake yes...lots of it... No lace though.. a little too lowrider for me.. It does look good on the right car though... so we gonna be putting up the "dust retention tent" again, huh?...

    Busy is better!!!!

    Sometimes...

    On the right car...

I like the idea of the monochrome look. For my buddies '63 Impala (very lowrider themed) He wants to panel the roof light gold and off white with gold pearl lace inlays with gold flake over the top of everything. Not very heavy, but enough. He told he wanted something busy. The he said for me to go crazy on it.
