Here's one I sprayed on my brand new '67 Impala in the fall of 1966...chartreuse flake top/green candy top over pearl chartreuse body.

    That's AWESOME Tom!

So, was 1966 about the time when metalflake was starting to be used regularly on customs? Or earlier??

I dig your Mopar, Tinman....I always thought one of those would make an excellent mild custom and you proved it! Are those Genny Buick wires?

That's a cool neighborhood, poncho...is it old or faux-old? Hard to tell.

Thanks... the wires are 15x7 True Spokes with an adaptor to mount the two-bar spinner. I can't get near a set of Skylarks without robbing a bank, so these do the job for now!

My wife just sent me these pics of her '66 Impala.....I was up 'till 1:00am last night shooting it and haven't seen it in the sun yet......

The lace panels are very subtle, with candy blue fogged a bit darker along the tape lines and window edges, matches the dash I did last month....took longer to mask than to shoot the candy....hahaha! Still needs smoothed out more and a few coats of clear to bury the flakes.....I'll be doing that later this week.
I'll try to get a few better pics once I get home and the sun sets a bit....
