Flame throwers (proper spark plug placement)

    Want any ideas on how far to put spark plug from the end of tailpipe

    wellll.....flame throwers aren't the best idea...it's bad for your engine.
    i have flame throwers on my 55, but i rarely use them. thinking about taking it off. but, if you want spark plug placement...i'd go 2-3 inches in from the end of the tips.

    Nope, 2"-3" is dead on. You need them close enough to the tip to mix oxygen with the rich mixture to create fire. Don't forget, just because the mixture contains raw fuel, the CO2 isn't allowing combustion.

    Are you guys able to get fire from just the exhaust fumes or do you need a fule supply back there? I tried once and had spark and a fuel line i ran to the cabin where i could spray carb spray right onto the spark and still no flame. I gave up
