I've been thinking about this for a while. Some flames inspired by the Jack James 57 that Watson did. But these are abalone flake over white as is the white under the trim line. Trying to figure out the striping or not but here's where it was this morning...

Looks killer. I love those Buicks.

  14. The car looks awesome..... but your killing yourself with all that tape. Go to a sign shop and buy a roll of transfer tape. I use 18" wide. Saves a ton of time and money.

    Great job!!

    Thanks...
Might save time, but not money, a couple of rolls of green tape is cheaper than transfer tape. Priced it, I used about $20 worth of tape. That and the wide tape makes it hard on the compound curves... If it was a flatter car I would use it...

Nice and just the right amount of flames, give yourself a pat on the back for having some restraint. I would definitely go with an outline, just not sure on the color.

  17. I agree if all you are doing is one car. I find that with one roll of the transfer tape I can flame 10 cars. Yes the compound curves are a little hard, but doable.

    again,
    Great job!

Very nice! I'd definitely stripe it if it was mine. Maybe a 50/50 mix of brilliant and process blue???... or... purple???... or... ???????

Thanks man, yeah it was hard to stop...
I talked to Igor about it yesterday at a panel jam and we hadn't picked a color. So we'll cut and buff the thing this week. Then make a decision.

And thanks to everyone for the good words. It's been one of those things I've been thinking about, glad it works...

I know you've had several colors thown at ya, but try Kansas City Teal. It'd be subtle, and classy. Looks great by the way!

Looks good man! I think my favorite part of a flame job is seeing the mask on before you spray. It just looks so cool! Might be wise to stick with a tame color for the striping. I saw Bad Bob mentioned purple or grey. I vote silver, but thats just me.
