FLAMES!!!!!!!!From front to rear

Bad Bob's merc is perfect. lot of flames but not overdone, awesome ride.

 

I love those!!!!! They usually come to Ink-n-Iron.

 

yep awesome stuff, so much time and effort into those it would make my head explode

 

I like Bob's and Oddrods, I think the black and red combo works, it has a trad feel.

Not trying to start anything but ghost flames had their time and they IMO don't look good on big cars.

Here is mine before the repaint, I couldn't live with the the Ronald McDonald Racing colors and I think the flames needed to go farther back and at least cover the doors... But I like my new look much better:

Love flames,I did these along with the dragon to blow them over the racer.
Being a race car,the colors are yellow at the tips so they show much better at nite under track lights.

These are my experimental flames that I figure on using after final paint...........

 

you must be jokeing flames should be on every car ..the only thing that i think shouldnt be on mercs is scallops

 

haha unfortunately im not joking, flames aren't my thinggg...depends on the style car...

 

The only way i dont like flames on mercs is when they are above the lower quarter panel makes the whole side look flat like a shoebox ford ..mercurys have perfect body lines and that takes away from the car.but what do i no im new at this..

When I saw your car I instantly thought of the Rat Fink Merc toy I got from Target a few years back and had it signed by Big Daddy. I love the flame job!

Perfect traditional flames! I'll take crab claws over seaweed any day of the week, they have a much more 50s vibe. Today's flames are a lot more artistically competent/complicated, but that's what a lot look like; today's flames.
