great stance! looks killer. All your hard work will pay off as soon as you start yanking on that Jerico!
Now Craig....you need to bring it over someday when you are near my house. Had a nice visit from Bob and Brian Borne last weekend and did a few stops to show them the cars around here. Your 55 is looking great! Brian
Hey Brian, I will be down to Empire for sure for the Gold cup. I am still hoping to finish up for the first ONDR race May 5th, it is coming along good but I am not sure if I will be done by then. I am trying hard, almost every night and all weekend!! I will drop in when I am near by Craig
Doc is working away on the body, looks fantastic!! The tranny is not fitting correctly into the reducer ring that goes into the scatter shield, have to do the runout, so... Stevie is having one made at work, then motor and tranny can go back in. Cleaned up the roof interior to get rid of insulation, took all F#$^&in day!! I started fitting the roll bar
hey craig, was your red and black 57 at norwalk good guys a few years ago,big block?,that car looks the one
Yes, we have been there the past 4 years, I love Norwalk, I wish a lot more cars showed up, it could be a great show with the track
Yeah 3 pedals, the 57 has a richmond six speed, but the motor is in the 55. 468 big block, full roller, dart pro 1 heads. The 57 is getting a 383 stroker small block as soon as I finish the 55. The big block was too much in that car, it was always spinning the tires
Easter weekend progress, motor and tranny in, Chromoly roll bar all ready for Bryan Gault to tig weld this coming Saturday, that was a job and a half, I hate angles!!. Body work still in progress by Doc, tilt front end this week
That is looking killer, I seen your 57 a few years back when I was getting the nickel tour of the club house. What do you think the 55 will run in quarter ? You must have a number floating around...lol
I am hoping to be in the 10's, there will be a bunch of sorting out for a while I am sure. I was watching the UMTR guys in Milan last Sept., if the car performs any where close to these guys I will be happy. These guys are pulling the wheels in 3rd gear
I am a Ford guy but LOVE all Gassers ! I hope to start my gasser build this winter . I have a 50 Ford that will have a Ford 429 mill with 4 speed toploader and 4.88's out back . I will still keep looking at your build to see how it turns out . So far so good ! Retro Jim
Still coming together, roll bar welded in, some more paint happening, fuel cell and battery mounted.... Flap
Put the rear end in with the 4.56 gears, put the slicks on the rims for fit. They didn't fit. Had to re- cut the wheel wells and the lip, pain in the ass!!
I was trying to get it ready for May 5th first ONDR race, but it is not quite there yet. I am trying every night and every weekend!!. It will be out within a month I hope Flap
Hey Flap; You have come a long way in a short time..don't rush it now...bring it out for GB in July. Maybe whoop up on some Great Lake Gassers...LOL...j/k Jon.. Rick ============================================
No issue Rick, we like it. Flap if you are ready to go and want to run at the Detroit Dragway Reunion on May 19th at Milan with us let us know and we will put you on the gate list. Jon
Thanks for the comments, I will let you know when it is ready and I will be at a test and tune to make sure it is good to go!!
Weekend progress, roll bar final welds, electrical panel and switches, fuel lines, Doc is making the interior panels, coming along Flap
