Hey Brian, I will be at Empire for sure!! Hey Rick, I am pretty sure I will be at St. Thomas on the 10th Thanks Flap
Busy weekend again!! Lots finished up, Rick Norton has completed the wiring! Fantastic job, when you have friends that kick in like that it makes you want to finish the car even more!! Doc is still finishing panels for the interior. And I am finishing off the lists. It turns over and is almost ready to fire Flap
Steve has been a great help with the lathe, making all those hard to make parts. He is really talented when it comes to that tool, I will send him back when he is all done, and he won't be sober!! Flap
Here is the update, it's running, sounds killer, dash all together, lexan windows are in, aluminum panels are in, belts are in, brakes are done, going for paint this week. Tranny is leaking out the front seal, have to take it back out Flap
I love the look of your 57. Great use of color on the body and wheels. I`m sure the 55 will be as nice. Have fun.
Craig looks GREAT! We are getting ready to head to Beaver Springs for the Gasser reunion with my 64 and Lisas 69. Keep it going!
Another busy weekend, almost ready for a beatin'!! A couple of good buddies pitched in and made it happen. Few things to finish up this week, pull out the tranny to fix the leak
It helps when you read the instructions!! Tranny was over filled, you fill to 3/4" below the fill plug on a Jerico. At least I didn't pull the tranny and find out after. Learn something new every hour!! Flap
That was an easy tranny fix! Car looks great in black and red! How'd you come up with that color combo?
Wow! That thing looks GREAT!!! I don't know how I missed this thread but I'm subscribed now! I can't wait to see it in person, any chance you'll make it to St Thomas this weekend? You've really covered a lot of ground getting that car done in just a few months. Way to go!!!
I am going to be at St Thomas this weekend! The car fires and runs, have not been through the gears yet or checked brakes at speed. I am hoping to fire it up in the pits, roll it around a bit and see what happens. If she is good to go we will make a couple of passes!! Looking forward to it, it has been a long 7 months, but fine tuning is a lot easier now than building from ground up Thanks Flap
First time out, car went straight, no major problems. Car went 7.11 in the 1/8 mile, not bad for first time. The front wheels lift in first and second. Once again had all the help I needed from my good friends!!
Looking good Flap.. missed your call......was out of town for a few days. back now. Call when ya can.. and lift them wheels higher! hahaha
Flap's 55 ran great! It looks great too! It was nice to see it run so well right out of the box. It sounds great going down the track banging gears. I think it's only going to get quicker as he gets the launch dialed in.
