Flared, Bell exhaust tips, any interest?????

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Chris Casny, Nov 15, 2008.

  1. I hope this does not sound like an sales ad. A friend of mine and I came up with these exhaust tips, and thought, we feel you guy's out, to see, if there would be any interest. If so, we would start making them, right here in Burbank CA.
The idea isnt new, but I don't believe anybody is selling these right now.
These are 6" long, 1.75" diameter, 16 gauge, flared out to 2.25" at the end.
    Give us your input please.
    Thanks, Chris
    PS: Red paint not included

Years ago when I was getting my exhaust done, I wanted those exact tips. I told the exhaust guy what I wanted, but he didn't get it. I finally had to go in the back and show them how to make them on the tubing flarer.

  4. Very cool. I have some old Chrome ones like that. CrazyD made the ones on his Tudor that way out of stainless.

    Are yours mild steel?

  9. We used to call those "scavenger pipes" that would sometimes hang below the axle with the flared ends with red inserts for the extra touch. Nice to see them again...

If you're doing them in stainless, I'm in for a pair. They'd look *****en under the bumper of my Plymouth.
