I’m planning to spent a lot of time cleaning and detailing it and hope to drive it and show it in as found but cleaned up condition. I wish it was still orange as that’s its identity but I wouldn’t want to half do it and a full frame off rebuild is a few years away. I will be making updates and soon will make the car its own Facebook page. I’m currently doing research on its past 40 years.
I met Chuck Lombardo shortly after the car was in the magazines. He was a character for sure. He spent time answering my questions as I was in the middle of tearing my 57 apart. I asked about how he bolted the body mount in front of rear axle after they moved the leaf springs inboard, he said " you don't need those, kid, it'll be fine"
So,,, going through the thread ( cause of a life long romance with '57s ) My question is Where is Tman? any body?
Flashbacks engine if completely intact as built. But it needs a lot of cleaning and detailing. The coil has been changed but that’s about it.
