Buddy some dummy forgot to bring his camera, I'm not gonna mention any names but his initials start with Carl...... Trent yep it sure is fun when you feel her pulling with all eight cylinders, man what a rush. I can only imagine how Buddy and Tim feel when doing it for 3-5 miles!!! I only get seconds at a time!!!! Of course there is always the 45minute wait as the guy in front of you has oiled down the track and you have to wait in the heat..........
Hey, you too can fit in the lakester Typed with flies around my stench and grinding dust in my hair, the work goes on
Well at least someone had the sense to use their phone camera thanks Jim! Jims coupe in the background...... Jack pondering the thoughts between runs...... Artsy shots After the 105 run its time to eat!! course maybe I should eat less and loose some of this extra weight???......... At the staging lane... Jims brush painted coupe...... and he does it all himself!!!! Thanx for the pics Jim........ and a special thanks to my brother in law Jack for helping me!!!
Great stuff Carl. I gave up taking a camera. Everytime I did something messed up. Quite often that something was me. One time I thought I was filming the run and I got the sit behind in the staging lanes and a beautiful drive back the return road. (All on You tube now called "Before and After" or something like that. I quit at that point. I would like an in car shot of a run for when I am in "the Home" later on in life I can turn on a fan , let it blow air at me and re-live the pass at full volume but I think it will not happen. I discovered lots of folks have pictures anyway as I see you already have. Some will have video too. At Picton Airfield so far they have videoed every pass and one can buy the CD for a few bucks which helps support the next event. Anyway you are having fun and broke nothing . That is always a good day at the track! Good to see you having so much fun. Don
Yea Don when I screwed up and lost the rear end I also broke my camera getting out of the dragster(too fat of a body to small of a cockpit), so all in all it was an expensive day. Need to get one of them Go-Pro camera's soon, ifn I can find some extra cash somewhere........but blower pieces come first!!!!........ u know priority's first!!!! gotta make a carb scoop also when I get back to calif......... Thanx Tim.... see ya at Eagle Roc!!!
