Thanks Bob , did I say I really, really hate body work ........... really, really, really, hate fiberglass body work
You are not alone! I don't mind chopping, channelling, or moving metal, but I always sent my stuff out for finishing. I also hate working with fibreglass. you have my sympathy, but I know you are going to get it done and do a superb job. I can't wait to see the videos of the FED on the track this year. Bob
Carl, just wondering, have you ever thought about filling your block at least partially with something to avoid the catastrophic break down that you just had. I've been listening to your motor when racing for the last couple of years and it really sounds good. It really wants to make HP. It dropped off a bit with the new injection but once you get that straightened out its going to really want to go. More HP may need a stronger block,. Just thinking. It will also help keep the heads on and stop blowing head gaskets. Of course , I'm just talking, I'm sure you know all this.
it is filled, with blockroc origionally but apparently it didn't get into the all voids, used aluminum to fill those parts this time, so we will see how long it will last, but if it doesn't have a seven port we are working on to replace it, it will be filled with aluminum and 322ci, he says with a grin.
I believe that Carl already has the block filled with something. Dang Carl, you must have been typing while I was.
Think I recall you saying something about that. Just beat one out of aluminum...how difficult could it be?
well bullshit, fix hole leads to crack, fix crack leads to hole which when fixed leads to another crack, and da beat goes on and on, damn I hate this chit
LOL So true! When I was building my avatar the UPS guy delivered so many times he finally said, "I gotta see what you're building". I'd just finished assembling the 429 and he said, "Now I know why your stuff is so heavy."
this is getting sickening, put it on sand it off, put more on sand more off, me n Manuel don't get along.....
OK lets get this straight. You spend hours and hours cleaning your shop, repainting the floor ect. ect. ect. then the first thing you do is bodywork and paint ug, I hate this shit and hate building a booth each time........seems like it NEVER ends..................
pushed too many buttons................. and final coat.............now on to polish ect. and back together
