Hey Carl . . . looks a whole lot more powerful than before - glad to see it run well! I'd say your getting the tune pretty close - I'll call you next week and we can chat about a few things. I want to go back through my tuning program and your data set - to validate everything. Once we do that, we can discuss using it (along with a weather station) to set your main pill value for different track conditions.
After the Bell repair, going to fill this block with alum and replace the block in the FED............lots of work left, but a crack free std bore block humm sounds good to me..................get ready for October!!!!
Now that the block is stabilised you can bore the cylinders right out of the block and sleeve it to 3.5 ". or turn the blower up and tip the can to make up for the extra weight!
you must still be young cuz Carl is close to my dads age speed comes fast with lots of broken parts fun comes fast when you dont have to work on it all the time even as young as i am i agree less broke parts and more play time
well said.....at this stage of the game being able to just change oil between races is more important than than setting records and destroying parts. Besides I want to be like my hero Elmer and still be racin at 90............... Me an Elmer.......(he left a tad early....we laughed at the end, but thats another story)
i use to break lots of parts till i had to have other people fix them and pay for it keep up the good work Carl
One of the most annoying things I find about myself is the list of small changes I always have ready by the time I have to pull a mill. Makes the simple job of going through the mill take at least four times as long as it needs to. Let's see, I wanted to relocate that piss can a bit more clear of the belts ........
