A local powdercoat business would probably let you have some oven time cheap. After having a pretty good health scare, I would not be curing paint in an oven meant for food.
I was caught two days in a row "cooking" triumph motorcycle engine cases to get the bearings out and back in.... started on the job too late on day one "she" came home from work to an oily smell. Ooops!! Thought I would get in early the next day, but forgot she had a half day on Fridays once a month. Caught again!! I recovered the lost points by buying a new oven...... took the old one to the shed for my own baking.... bonus !!! I still have the shed oven, and the Triumph but not the handbrake!
Fire up the barbie. That's what I used to heat the ring gear for my 8ba so it would slip on over the flywheel after I took it out of the freezer.
That's how I bake any paint on small to medium parts. Crank up the hooded barbie, put the parts in and leave them go for 10 or 15 mins. Leave the lid open after taking the parts out and never had residual odour.

Perhaps it's only the angle of the photo that makes it look do-able, but I might've considered that minor relieving on the fancy main cap could be all it needs to clear the existing pan.
your right its the angle of the photo,............its not doable..............besides I want all the main cap I can get on the blower pulley...................(might just decide to increase da boost)

Lookin' good, Carl. I wouldn't worry about the shop. Your shop on its dirtiest day is still cleaner and more organized than my present shop on it's best day. My shop is so small, and I have so many large devices, such as welders, lathes, milling machine, wood working equipment, and all manner of hand tools, that I have to work the vertical, and actually take stuff outside to work on them because I don't have the room. That is why I have stopped everything, except necessary repairs, until I get my bucket list garage built. Keep up the great work, it will be good to hear and see the videos of your newly powered rail. I'm 76, and I am not getting as much accomplished as you, but I have the same plan, to keep working on my toys until I croak. Bob
