Once again a great big shout out to all the volunteers who stood in the heat, cleaned all the trash, did all the little things and big things, so that a bunch of ol farts can relive their youth. A special thanks to Rocky n Tammy for all you do for all of us. Another special thanks to Joe Davis for allowing all of us to tear up his place twice a year................ Yep another great Weekend at Eagle................. Made it into the finals where we had a great run against John Yungs injected Flatty. What a great thing the first time we had an all Flathead 8 Final. We lost by .033 and congratulations to John and his crew and driver Sean Bell for an outstanding run. Yep a great weekend all right!!!!! Video later on........Carl
Are you building a new car to add to your fleet? I think you need to start a new build thread Carl. Inquiring minds want to know.
Na just going to update the hauler, been wanting to do this for a few years now and want to do it before I die...........making linkage of my own and trying to get all bugs worked out before I pull old tranny, don't like to have the truck down more than a weekend......... and na Tom don't need any new projects or threads have enough problems keeping track of this one........
I know what you mean about new projects Carl. Some day I'll get back on the race car after I get the '64 Dodge altered wheelbase street project back running and then there's this other thing that I have on the back burner and four cigar box guitars that are in various stages of construction...Oh, shiny!
Tom you can't call it 'pretty'. When my wife and I got together 30 plus years ago I was driving trucks and she was an English teacher. Her previous marriage was centred around everything but trucks or modified cars. When we were 'courting ' I took her to Sydney's Kings Cross area to show how the other people partied. While sitting watching the passing action a W model Kenworth with all the bling cruised down the 'strip. She watched it go past and said, "what a pretty truck". I had to tell her you don't call trucks 'pretty', but it was 'an alright lookin bit of gear'. We are still together despite that glitch.
