I was looking at this pic from VLV and it looks like this chev has 2 pieces of flat windshield glass. Does anyone know anything about this car and how it might have been done? Looks like it might be a good solution to the problem of cutting curved glass.
is it possible he molded the windshield frame of a 50 ford? if so, and interested, i have a complete cowl and top section of the windshield, you will only need to finish the post...which I may have a few pieces to make up the window surround, let me know...before I toss it....
don't know the car, but.. it actualy looks perty good. how about using the frame from a similar year/make PU? Paul
Chopped50Ford, You're probably right, here is another pic from Eyeball's post. Thanks for the offer, but I am wanting to know just for future reference. There must be someone out there in HAMB land that could really use those parts for an immediate application.
Yea, it does look pretty good, 60's style. Cleatus, you can tell by the peak on the roof? You KNOW your cars!
Lulabelle- ship your windshield halves out to me [with pattern] and I will cut them free to show someone else the tile saw method works.......
Choprods, Are you talking about the tile cutters that look like a little table saw with a water tray? I take it then you actually hold the glass and feed it into the stationary saw?
