1952-59 Ford flat head 2 blade fan?

    i have a 53 ford with a flathead v/8 and i would like to replace the two blade fan with a new multiblade one. problem is the old one is riveted on. has anyone replaced one?

    Cut the rivets .

    I haven't checked yet, but you might look at Speedway Motors for a cure. They handle a lot of flathead aftermarket parts including ball bearing water pumps, etc. They might have just what you need. I just got a new catalog today, so I'll look tonight and see...

    Edit: Speedway sells an adapter to mount a 4-bolt fan to a modern GM alternator which mounts center/front as did the original generator. Neat way to kill two birds with one stone.

    I've got a Ford tractor fan with many blades in my parts stash that might fit your flathead. Please post photos and dimensions of your setup. No way to figure it out otherwise...
