Hot Rods Flat head copper heads

    Found a set of no water copper heads for a 59ab on the Atl craig list,pricy.
    Has anyone heard of these? first I have seen.

  6. I am sure I have seen a set on here and like someone said they are probably bronze not copper. I doubt that I have seen a set in the flesh.

    Thanks for seeing a set on a car. This person wants 2250.00 for these.Pretty pricy, but also pretty rare.
     
  8. Back in the early 70's, my partner and I had an early ford parts store, and we had a pair of the Federal Mogal heads for sale, as well as many other early flathead goodies. We even had 2 different S.C.O.T. blower manifolds at one time. Good stuff was still around then.

    I wonder if they dissipate heat rapidly enough to keep the engine running cool.
    The magazine article mentions Thermo Flow cooling.
    Anyone have any experience with these heads or are they just for drag racing?
