Looking to see if anyone knows what these parts are? I ***ume they are from a Flat head but I dont know what they would be used for. And the gauges if anyone know what they might be from. The one looks like a Model A gauge. Any help is appricated.
The first two pictures are an exhaust manifold to be used with a flathead V8. A sheet metal duct goes over the manifold waffles to heat the air which is then directed to the cab. Hot water heaters came out about 1939 to supersede the hot air heaters. The Model A Ford had a similar setup available. The two round speedometers with a black face are probably '32 (maybe '33-'34 truck). The oval speedometer is 1928 through mid 1930 Model A. The round white faced speedometer doesn't look Ford. Thank you for your help Charlie, I really appreicate it! I know the manifolds had to be something with the cold weather but didnt know exactly. Thank you
The heater is aftermarket and would require a scoop over the waffle part and some ducting to hook it up...Ford did offer exhaust heaters for Model A's (almost all surviving ones are aftermarket, though) and for V-8's from 1933---I think 1942, though hot water ones were available from 1939 up. Speedometers...should you need a new home for the round ones, contact me.
I have no idea where it came from. I just got back from vacation and there it was. I think most likely the NSA put it there...
