A quick FYI;

Speaking of Snyders, [and don't get me wrong, I've bought a ton of stuff from them]. But I was looking at the "Flathead Ted" brake floater kits.
At Snyders the deluxe kit is $375.

Quite a difference.

Those floaters aren’t needed,
simply ensure the shoes are centered on the axle with the same dimension from the center of the axle to the outer edge of the brake shoe.
They will work fine.
Fitting the shoes to the drum will do more to provide the best braking performance.
