Flat tie rod arms vs standard Ford arms

Anyone know if there is a reason to run flat tie rod arms instead of standard Ford arms for this setup? I have a spring behind dropped beam axle with split wishbones, suicide perch, aftermarket 40 style spindles, 40 backing plates and reversed Corvair box with traditional steering. I was ready to pull the trigger on a set of Speedway Ford arms but they state that they are only recommended for cross steer and spring over axle. Is it a clearance issue?

Are Speedway's forged? Check with Chassis Engineering theirs are forged. Get the best you can for steering and brakes. The FOGGER

Thanks for the reply Fogger. I checked with Speedway and their tie rod arms are forged, the issue has to do with conflicts with the spring on their T chassis kit. Since I am building my own chassis, I think I'll be ok. I think the old Ford type arms look a little better than the flat ones, but that's just me.
