    I feel MUCH better now.
I couldn't shift it the first day out 2 years ago so if the owner still can't shift it, I guess the problem wasn't all me. LOL

Haha! You're a mean guy! I knew I was gona take crap, but......LOL!:D

    HAHAHAHA!

Pete, It wasn't my finest driving, but I truly don't feel bad, as the car ran strong, straight, and true!

I paid a LOT of attention to the gauges and car, but screwed the pooch on the shifting. In fact, if you watch the speedo, you'll see it shows a top speed of 187. When the push truck showed up to pick me up, the congratulated me, and said we had qualified,I called BS, because I had been watching things, and could tell them my speeds through the run. I told them I thought we had averaged about 184 through the 3, and really didn't think we had qualified, until I saw the printed speeds.

Come to find out, the GPS speedo is 2 mph slower than the traps! Lol!

    You guys crack me up!

I'm pretty excited! I made a deal yesterday on a new 'house' for the FlatCad. It should make hauling and working on the car easier!

  11. We've also affectionately named it "The Timeout Trailer" - that way when Buddy and I lock horns, we can be sent for a 'timeout', while the rest of the crew gets something accomplished in peace! :D

Not that we've ever expect to need it for that . . . okay, maybe often!

Great Job Buddy -- This will be a big help to the project!

  12. Damn! I have "trailer envy" now.

  17. Wow Buddy, a very nice addition. A good owner would just add air conditioning and we're off, huh Dale.............

You guys are funny-keep it up!

In the mean time, Randy and I got the engine out of the car and on a shipping pallet. The engine is headed to Don's shop. I'll fly out there on the 20th, and Don and I will dismantle the engine.

Lock-N-Stitch is just around the corner from Don, so we'll drop the block off there for repair.

My goal is to get the engine back together by December, and on the dyno by January. We're not planning any engine changes this year, just repair, and test and tune!

Aero, on the other hand, will continue to be attacked!:D
