flathead 8BA carb question..best alternative to a holley...

    or stromberg...this is a stock flathead and i was wondering if anyone has a good choice on something else,like a rochester...or ...thanks

    The Rochester 2GC works great on a flathead. It flows about 30-40 percent more than the early Holley 2-bbl and has no bad habits. It can be mounted with a three-bolt to four-bolt adapter, or you could replace the Ford manifold with one from a '49-'51 Mercury which has the correct four-bolt flange.

    Well, you could always swap the intake for a 4-bbl. Won't gain lots on a stocker, but...
