The guy that is going to do my machine work on my 8BA has a magneto for my engine. I know nothing about what they are worth or the performance difference between that and a dizzy.He said he would sell it to me for $750 is that a good price or am I getting the shaft.Dizzy or magneto. I know the mag would be alot cooler but is it worth it
call joe hunt and ask him what he wants for a mag, but also find out what brand of mag the guy has. I would have thought that $750 was getting up there. Speedway do sell the look like a mag dizzys for about $600 from memory. cool factor mag is the go, reliability an electronic dizzy will win hands down. theres a fair few to chose from MSD, Mallory Acell. etc. so dont jump too quick, do your home work.
A new mag from our guy here in Indy sells for $1000 plus dollars. $750 may be a bit on the high end for a older used unit. Usually $300-400 at local swap meets.
