Flathead air filter

Hello fellow Hambers,
Does anyone know if there is a paper filter element that will replace the OEM mesh filter media in the stock Ford F-1 air filter? Has anyone done this retrofit? The old oil filled set-up is really starting to get my recently rebuilt flatty grimey! Time for an upgrade.

Get a copy of the WIX filter catalog and got the size charts in the back.
All filters are listed by type(air, fuel, oild, etc), style, and size.

 

i don't know if it's similar in size to the 48 ford car air cleaner but for my 48 i used a NAPA 6210. i had to removed the structure inside the lid of the air cleaner but it works.
