i've got my front motor mounts in and im trying to figure out where to place the transmission mounts...does anyone know of the correct angle to mount a flathead...say i go by the angle of the intake where the carb mounts...ive got about an inch to play with up and down back there

    thanks

When we set up engines in cars at the shop where I worked, we set the mounting area for the carb level to the ground.

thanks, thats what i was thinking...but it makes the motor look way out of place...thought maybe a flathead was different...hopefully it is?

If you are building motor mounts with just the bare frame be sure to set the frame at the final ride angle (rake) before leveling the carb mounting pad.
