Should you get a new factory sheet metal lockplate or is it better to switch to lockwashers when you replace the timing gear?
My opinion is to get a new lockplate......it would give me more confidence than lock washers........my $.02 Brucie
I've got new lockplates in stock if you need one. They sell for $3 apiece, but it isnt worth writing up an invoice for one. I'll just mail one out to you if needed at no charge. Let me know......... Mac VP www.flatheadv8.com
Mac, I wondered about using bolts with the heads that are drilled for safety wire and safety wiring the bolts to prevent them from coming loose - do you have them?? I have drilled my own bolts before, but ready made ones save some "sweat!" Thanks. Dave
Could you mail me one of the Flathead Cam Timing gear Lockplates? John Walton 6846 Clemens Rd. Bowmanville Ontario Canada L1C 3K6 Thanks alot John
