flathead camshaft beatdown..

    ok i have tried everything ..the joke is not funny anymore... someone help the kid , i can't get the freaking cam outta the bloody block .. i've got 3 stuck valves and 5 stuck lifters , 2 valve heads are broken ... i've built numerous motors before what the hell am i missing.. p.s the BFH didn't work

    do i cut it out then?? because that's what i'm about to do ..

    you guys have saved my ass before , you all seem to be the only ones that know anything about these .. HELP:confused::confused::confused:

    You need to get the valves out first, then remove the stuck lifters. Cut the valves inside the valley and pry the tops out. Then remove the spring/keeper rubble. You may need to soak the lifters in some trannyfluid/acetone mix to loosen them up if they are rusty. Might also need to make a tool to pound them out from below, maybe something that fits around the cam. Or maybe they are adjustables you can get ahold of the adjuster and pry upward on?

    But all this sounds easier than cutting the cam apart, and then still having to remove the stuck valves and lifters.
