Just got a 51 ford with what I think is the factory flathead with 2bl carb. My question is what kind of carb is it? I think a holly but could be wrong. The only print I see on it is "ford" script and a small ford script "f' on bottom. There is no threads for the air cleaner I think it clamped on the neck Anyone know from that discription ehat I got.. I'm asking because I need a rebuild kit.

    any help would be appreciated
    Thanks in advance

Look on Left side of bowl for part number prefix numbers and letters...those will tell exact origin of the carb. There may be size info on back.
The carb was originally a Ford owned design, with Holley as the main supplier. Your small script "F", which should be at bottom of pump bulge on casting, marks yors as Ford built; a Holley would have anf "H" there. All parts the same functionally...
