Hot Rods Flathead Carb??

The attached photo is of a ford flathead carb. Anyone know what the carb is all about?

Correct, worked rather well for being so ugly. Air cleaner equally unattractive.

 

yeah thats a teapot they do work quite well have on on my merc flttie
