    Holy Crap! Bottom is a heavily trimmed/cut down/welded up roughly '33-6 distrinutor pesumably containing a 90 degree gear set, then a fabricated post similar to but not a '49 type distributor, then a '46 to '48 distributor bolted to the top.
    !!!
    I THINK the distributor up there is now turning the wrong way so it retards with speed, but my head hurts too much from looking at it to figure that out...and even if I'm right, there might be extra devil gears in there changing it back.
    It shows an excellent way, however, to avoid bending over to attach the distributor...Argentine tag says fabricator of prolonged/extended distributors...

    I never seen anything like but it's a neat piece to look at on a shelf, it was on a friends flathead.

    A search shows Edson to be a marine parts supplier.
    A good bet this was made for a boat application.
