powergen specifically states that you can not use this fan on their alternator.

I searched a bunch on that before I bought it, also sorted out the pulley needed, which Powermaster sells as well...? If you have a link to help locate the info it's much appreciated. Nothing in the paperwork that it came with, but I'll look again to see if I mssed it.

When I contacted Powergen about this their tech told me that the front bearings were not designed for a fan load. Now that you have run the Offy pulley setup for a couple years what is your experience? I want to run a generator mounted fan but an alternator would make it that much better. My installation will be a 8BA block configured like a 59a in a 32 5w. I don’t want to cut the stock Front crossmember which I think rules out a double pulley. Appreciate any guidance.

How much load does a fan put on the bearings ?
After all it just sits there and pulls a little air directly backwards..........no downwards force like a tensioned belt.........

Sadly life, business, and all the other etceteras have this project on a back burner now and then. I want it so right and refuse to slam it together, therefore actual use isn't something I can share. In a 'Twilight Zone moment' though? Right hand raised I was looking up proper sized nylon fans in addition to the shroud I have laid out for this thing. Being black and mostly hidden I don't care about cat memed shouts I'll get about non-trad application. I was into this on Saturday morning, and now this? Whoa...
