I've tried searching the related threads but I'm not finding what I'm looking for.

Is there a difference between the gen. mounts on the early and late intakes?

What I have is an 8BA block and dist. that I want to run an early style 3 pot intake and heads (Sharp). I'm probably going to go with the Powermaster alt. Will the late style offset gen. bracket fit the early intake mount? No fan mount to worry about - electric fan (yuck, I know, but not my ride).

    Thanks guru's.

Where the difference comes in is that the late water pumps are further forward to clear the dist.Hence the generator has to be forward for the belts to align. The generator mounts were different width early early on but most of whats left out there and aftermarket manifolds are the same width.
