What holds the oil pump idler gear in place on a 49-53 8CM? I looked at an earlier block and there's a shaft built into the rear cover plate. There's nothing connected to the plate on mine. I bought a bare block and I'm still trying to find all the little pieces I need. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Go to Vanpeltsales.com and look at drawings for oil pump. Early look like shaft in cover plate, 8BA have shaft pushed into the block and a flat plate cover. RB
