I have a 51 Mercury and I'm shopping for a different intake system , when it comes to flatheads are the intakes interchangeable from the different years?

up on the tool bar there is a search button. there is a ton of info on flathead stuff. try doing a search and you'll have more info than you'll even know what to do with....

The '49-'53 8BA intake is what will directly fit your Mercury. The earlier '39-'48 style intake will fit as well, but they do not have the oil fill tube and need a PCV valve added as well. I've got a Weiand 2x2 for the '49-'53 Merc/Ford engine polishing at this very moment if you need one.
