flathead intakes

    Hi , There are many different intakes out there for the flathead, on the
    dual two barrel type,some say that with the carbs closer to the rear the
    front cylinders tend to run lean.......any comments on that.

    Also is there anything wrong with a three two set up where your just
    running off the center carb instead of using dual two's one to one

    The air and fuel get mixed in the carb before it enters the intake manifold. Unless you have a vacuum leak that adds air after it p***es over the throttle plates into the intake, the mixture won't change. If that were the case the original 2 bbl would run lean at the 4 corners.

    I ran a center carb only on a 305 Chevy 3 deuce setup for years.
