Hey gang, I'm having a radiator built for a clients car that is running a '38 21 stud flathead in it. The shop building the radiator just called and asked what diameter I want the inlets and outlets to be...HHHMMMM. I usually have a large amount of nearly worthless info rattling loosely around my cranium, but exact sizes on this have got me stumped. To top it off, the car is almost thirty miles away. Can anybody put a tape to their inlets and out lets for me? Thanks, Chip Quinn
Can do first thing in the AM.....don't have a radiator, but I have a spare engine I could measure. Would that work?
Can't remember where I copied this from but it was in an ad : I hope it helps: Flathead Outlet Design: 1932-48 style p***enger motors use dual 1-3/4 upper and lower outlets. 1949-53 style p***enger motors use 1-1/4 upper and 1-3/4 lower outlets.
