i'd like to put a supercharger on my 239 flathead 8ba. i have never done anything like this and i want to do it right. i have a couple of questions and if anyone has any feed back on it that would be great. first of all, i was thinking of using a 4-71 supercharger because it's a smaller c.i.d engine. what's the max p.s.i one would run if they had either main caps or a full engine girdle? i'm going to do one or the other but right now i don't know. i want to get the most power out of it while keeping the weight down. would a 4-71 be sufficient? any and all input would be greatly appreciated. thank you.
You need to get Joe Abbin's book. http://www.roadrunnerengineering.com/ Then read all of the stuff in this HAMB thread: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=36008
