Flathead to Chevy Transmission

My 27 roadster has a small block Chevy and GM trans in it, I'm swapping the engine for a 49-53 Flathead.
Should I replace the GM trans with a Ford or get a trans adapter kit and keep my GM trans.

well it says "700r4/4L80E/2004r/350/400/or powerglide transmission" on the page
So anyone of those would work i guess.
I would chose 700r4/4L80E..

 

I believe the answer you're looking for is keep the chevy trans. your driveshaft, etc is already there, so that is why I vote chevy.
