Can anyone tell me the purpose of the small window that is located on the bell housing. Is this for checking the clutch or is it to lubricate the throw out bearing. If it is for the throw out bearing how do you lubricate it. What other purpose doest it have.

    Thanks

Well you know someone is going to say, "inspecting", which is true. Basically it's there so you can see if everything is working properly.

Bruce Lancaster had a great idea here. Paint the inside of your bellhousing white so it is easier to see what's going on inside if you actually have to inspect anything. I suppose you could paint nearly everything white besides the clutch disc and flywheel/pressure plate surfaces.
