Technical Flathead v/8 distributor interchange

Question: a 1942 Flathead truck, that has a "dome style cap" can a "**** style cap" distributor be subs***uted.?

 

Yes, I ***ume that you have the two bolt timing cover.

 

Or...you buy the 3 bolt to 2 bolt adapter from speedway

 

The timing cover has four threaded holes, but the distributor is attached with three bolts. I will check the Speedway adaplter.
