Technical Flathead V8 in a 31 coupe

Is it difficult to put a flathead in 31 coupe. Do they make all of the mountings for the change over?

Get the Vern Tardel AV8 book. Pretty well covers it. Been done thousands of times.

You must be new here even though it says you joined in 2013. This gets beat to death. Use the Search menu in the top left of the screen. You'll find 50 different ways to do it posted in the last 6 months.

 

It’s not a hard swap and there are different ways to go at it. I’m doing it right now in my 30 coupe. Stock rear 39 trans and a 59Ab v8 . Check out my build thread. I’m trying to post pics Of the stuff that I wasn’t sure of at first. There’s a few things I would do different next time maybe, but for the most parts I’m going with the tried and true way everyone else does it.

I’m gathering parts now to build one later. Verns book is nice, but I’m changing up a little. 8BA with a T5 trans and stock rear end. Lots of builds on here, find them and subscribe, fun to watch others and learn the tricks

 

I'm going Tardel with an 8BA, 39 trans. 39 rear and a repro 32 K member made by a HAMB'r. All going into my '30 this summer. In the process of restoring/rebuilding all my collected parts.
