So I was putting antifreeze in my car (pure) so it has 4 gallons of pure antifreeze and 3 of water. This seems like awfly a lot of coolant. It’s a 3 row radiator and it has [IMG]pretty big veins. It does have aluminum sharp heads. (Very thick) I bet the heads themselves hold almost a gallon. But what do you guys think?

I looked it up in my 1954 Motors repair manual and your 53 ford has a capacity of 22 quarts

I think it is 27.5 quarts or almost 7 gallons
Looks like I got way too much. I had some notes on my 50 shoebox and a 48 truck
