So the seals in my driver's side pump failed and I'm replacing it. Pump should arrive tonight. It's a 51 shoebox with the 239. Ice read up on the hamb pretty good, and watched a few vids on yt. Gonna throw a jack under it to hold the engine up no real worries about replacing it. First time on a flattie though. Any advice or things I should look out for, other than the sneaky bolt in the pump?

    Thanks guys.

Well you know about the inside bolt so thats half the battle. Just make sure your mating surfaces are clean. I pull the drain plugs out of mine and put a brass one in so it won't rust closed but not really necessary.

Unless you have already done so, I would consider changing the front motor mounts while you have the engine up. At least check them over well. Bad mounts can cause clutch chatter.
