Forgive me if this has been discussed before but I've searched and can't find what I want. I want to rebuild a pair of 59A water pumps and thought I've read about someone making a kit with upgraded impellers for better flow. Who makes them?
Don't know that anybody is selling kits with the improved impeller but Speedway sells a pump with improved impellers and Skip Haney rebuilds pumps with a improved impeller. https://skipscoilsandpumps.com/
I bought flathead water pump rebuild kits form the Early Ford Store several years ago. They might still be selling them. I also bought kits from Snyders. Keep in mind that the pumps from Skip's are more than just improved impellers and flow - he replaces the bronze bushings with bearings - which last a lot longer, don't have the sealing issues that one can have with the carbon washers in the stock pumps, etc.. Having bearings is especially important if you need a lot of belt tension for things like superchargers, high-amp alternators, etc..
