Hi, i'm after an inlet manifold for a French Military flathead engine, as far as I know these take an 8BA inlet. Can anybody tell me the difference between early and late inlets? Can I use an early inlet on this engine?
    Thanks, in advance, Kerry.

    Inlet?? You mean intake?
Yes early intakes will work on late model flatheads. The breather on those engines is located in "the valley" instead of at the "front of the oil pan area". Its a good opportunity to install a PCV system. Dont just throw an early intake over the exhaust breather in the valley. The engine needs to exhaust through it. There is alot written on the Hamb on this subject. Do a search on flathead intakes and PCV's,
